From the City of Great Bend...
"The Public Works Department would like to inform the public that due to unforeseen circumstances, the intersection of 24th and Main will be a four way stop until further notice.
On the night May 18, damage occurred to the control box for the stop lights at this intersection. As a result, the control box will need to be completely replaced.
The earliest possible time for that to occur is the first week of June. We are sorry for any inconvenience that this may cause.

A car chase that started just before 11 p.m. May 18 resulted in the suspect, Christopher Chappell, age 38, crashing into an electrical box at 24th & Main Street.
