Possible COVID-19 exposure through the Great Bend Police Department

The City of Great Bend sent out a press release last Friday, Sept. 11 making citizens aware that state health officials identified multiple positive cases of COVID-19 involving officers in the Great Bend Police Department.

Individuals who had contact with law enforcement beginning September 4th through September 9th may have been exposed to the novel coronavirus.

The City of Great Bend encourages those who were in contact with officers during the identified days to monitor themselves for symptoms of COVID-19 for 14 days. Symptoms include fever, cough, chills, muscle pain, sore throat, new loss of taste or smell, fatigue, diarrhea, and/or shortness of breath and difficulty breathing.

If symptoms develop, please stay home and contact your health care provider for guidance on testing. In an emergency, please call 911 and notify first responders that you were potentially exposed to COVID-19.
