The Great Bend Recreation Commission is trying to stay ahead of possible vehicle issues as they look for a replacement of the 2012 Dodge Caravan. The van is used mostly by Enrichment Director Garet Fitzpatrick for his programs or picking up supplies in other cities.
Contacting Marmie Auto Group, the Rec
Commission staff was notified their current van would receive a $4,700 trade-in
"I think it makes perfect sense to keep it available for running things around town," said GBRC Board member Randy Goering. "The trade-in value is so low, I think it's worth keeping it."
Wanting a Chrysler Pacifica van for its Stow ‘N Go seating, the board gave the Rec administration approval to purchase a new vehicle not to exceed $45,000. The most recent quote from Marmies was approximately $38,000, but could take five to six months to arrive.
