This year, Spectrum CPA assembled 151 boxes for Operation Christmas Child, setting a new record for their office and bringing joy to even more children in need around the world.

This annual project, which involves collecting items and monetary donations throughout the year, is spearheaded by Office Manager Joni Haines, with essential support from staff accountant Ally Paden.

“Every year, Joni raises the bar for this project,” Partner Barry Bowers, CPA, said. “We couldn’t be prouder of her commitment to serving others.”

Haines, whose heart for the project has made it a cornerstone of Spectrum CPA's community outreach, tirelessly organizes and shops for the items that fill these boxes.

“Joni’s passion for Operation Christmas Child has inspired our entire team and our clients to come together and make a difference,” Bowers said.”

Paden works closely with Joni, joining her on multiple shopping trips to ensure the boxes are filled with the essentials, thanks to the generous monetary donations from clients and the community. Together, the duo packed each box with love, filling them with school supplies, hygiene items, small toys and more, to make each child’s Christmas a little brighter.

“In 2023, we sent 151 boxes, surpassing last year’s record of 100 boxes and the 2022 total of 75 boxes,” Bowers said.

Spectrum CPA continues to collect items throughout the year to support Operation Christmas Child, ensuring that even more children receive gifts in the future.

“We’re grateful for the community’s support and look forward to exceeding our goal again next year,” Bowers said.
