New season of Real Ag coming to Smoky Hills PBS

An all new season of Smoky Hills PBS’ series of Real Ag will air every Friday at 8:30 p.m. starting Nov. 10.  Topics for this new season include:

November 10 - Seeds of Civilization: A History of Agriculture

November 17  - Vanishing Earth: The Soil Crisis

November 24  - Bittersweet:  The Hidden Side of Sugar

December 1  Dollars and Decisions:  Exploring the Checkoff Program

December 8 – The Pesticide Puzzle

December 15 – The Protein Predicament

December 22 – The World of Water

December 29 – Sunset Over the Fields:  A Season Recap

“It’s going to be an exciting season of Real Ag this year,” said Max Aguiar, Smoky Hills PBS producer/director.  “We've brought together a remarkable group of experts ranging from anthropologists and historians to world class scientists, all poised to take you on a journey through the heart and soul of our world's most critical industry.”

On this season of Real Ag, we learn how what we eat affects the world around us.  Showing viewers that Agriculture isn't just about raising plants and animals; it's about the environment we live in, the economy we rely on, and the future we create.
