
On Saturday, May 22 at approximately 11:45 p.m., an officer with the Great Bend Police Department conducted a traffic stop in the 2500 block of 10th Street on a 1998 Chevy Monte Carlo for a traffic violation.
During the stop, Police Service Dog Menta was deployed and conducted a free air sniff around the exterior of the vehicle. After performing the sniff, K-9 Menta alerted to the presence of illegal narcotics. A search of the vehicle was conducted.
Methamphetamine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia were located. Jessica Martin was arrested and transported to the Barton County Jail and booked in lieu of bond. This incident is currently under investigation.
