The big agenda item for the Monday, Aug. 3 Barton County
Commission meeting will center on a resolution for requiring face masks in
public.
On July 2, a resolution was adopted that repealed the provisions
of a Kansas Executive Order referencing the use of face masks in public.
On Monday, the Commission will discuss rescinding that resolution, thus making
masks mandatory in stores, restaurants and in any situation where social
distancing of six feet cannot be maintained, including outside.
The Barton County Commission meeting begins at 9 a.m. inside the Courthouse,
1400 Main Street, Room 106.
The Commission meeting will be live-streamed through Microsoft Teams. Citizens
may view the meeting through their own sign in or by signing in “anonymously”. Citizens
