Now known as a sports analyst on FOX Sports, Terry Bradshaw is a Pro Football Hall of Fame quarterback that won four Super Bowls with the Pittsburgh Steelers in the 1970s.
What is not as well-known is Bradshaw has spent 45 years in the horse breeding business. He also has his own endorsed bourbon called Bradshaw Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey.
When stock contractor Jason Bell from Bell
Bucking Bulls heard Bradshaw talking about his bourbon on a Facebook Live he
thought “Bradshaw Bourbon” would make a great name for a bull. The promotional
idea took off as the bull performed at rodeos across Kansas last year and Bradshaw was
able to receive good press on his bourbon that took 15 months to perfect.
"We went over the taste and I went 'Oh my gosh, we got it!'" said Bradshaw. "It took another year to get the bottle sorted out. I did not want to gaudy it up with celebrity stuff. I wanted the whiskey to stand on its own."
Bradshaw and Bell joined Eagle Radio’s Scott Donovan on the “Scott and Shannon
Morning Show” Monday, April 19 as Bradshaw’s promoted bull will be performing in Odin
this summer, beginning Friday, April 23 at the Odin Rodeo
Grounds.
Bradshaw mentioned in the interview that him and his wife have not
done much travel in the last year due to COVID-19, and they are looking forward
to making a trip to Odin for a future rodeo event.
"We just got our shot (COVID vaccination) and we're good to go," said Bradshaw. "We can hop on a little private jet and scoot up to Kansas."
Along with this Friday, the Odin rodeo will have events May 14,
June 18 and August 27 featuring the “Bradshaw Bourbon”
bull.
When asked if he would need any security making his way around Odin, Bradshaw responded with, "I don't need security...I'm a pretty big fella."
