Active COVID cases dropping in Great Bend schools

The number of active positive COVID-19 cases in Great Bend's public schools have dropped significantly in the past week. That information was released Tuesday by USD 428.

The district is now reporting 41 active cases among students and staff. That compares to 118 a week earlier.

Great Bend High School had 11 positive cases with 10 being reported at the Middle School. 15 cases were spread among four of the five elementary schools. Jefferson Elementary had none.

Three cases were identified at the The Helping Hands Preschool. Special Services and the Central Kitchen each reported one case.

The district lists the number of cases on its website, greatbendschools.net., each week.
