The Golden Belt Humane Society is asking for donations from the community as they find themselves at capacity, with most of those animals being kittens.
Heather Acheson, Director of Golden Belt, says with the large number of cats to feed, food is at the top of the “most-wanted” list.
"We are in need of Purina Kitten Chow, Purina Cat Chow, canned cat food, and then also the kitten powdered milk replacer.”
Acheson said that many of the kittens are needing to be bottle-fed with some being cared for by foster families.
Golden Belt’s next adoption event will be October 3rd at Orschlen’s from 10am to 2pm.
