The Barton Arts Movement (BAM) has already completed two murals this season (one in Claflin and one in Great Bend on Dilly & Doc), with two more "big ones" coming in August.

A sunflower themed mural with a live edge will wrap around the front and side of the Great Bend Chamber of Commerce office at 1125 Williams.

Another mural will be placed on the east side of 2602 10th Street, facing 10th & Washington. This big one at 10th & Washington is mid-fundraising and BAM has a fun and interactive fundraising contest on their Facebook page right now.

The size of the 10th & Washington mural will be 30' x 14',  approximately 420 square feet. Whitney Hayden, out of Houston, TX, has been contracted to complete the mural. The cost of the project is $14,000.

Christina Hayes with the City of Great Bend and Matt Hiss with the Great Bend Foundation present a combined $5,000 in grant funding to Rachel Mawhirter with the Barton Arts Movement to help fund the new mural being installed at 10th & Washington in Great Bend later this summer.
