RUSH COUNTY —One person died in an accident just after 1p.m. Tuesday in Rush County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2017 Toyota passenger car driven by was Olivia Grace Hanigan, 19, Garden City was northbound on U.S. 183 just north of T Avenue.
The Toyota crossed the center line striking a 2021 Chrysler passenger car driven by Joseph Homer Rainman, 87, Garden City head-on.
EMS transported Hanigan and Rainman to Hays Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. He was not wearing a seat belt, according to the KHP.
