You may have started to notice some businesses in Great Bend posting unusual messages on their outdoor signs. That's because the city's annual sign war is heating up. &nbsp;

A clever message is currently being displayed on the sign outside the Pizza Hut on West 10th Street. It says 'Let the Dominoes Fall, No One Out Pizzas The Hut,' an obvious reference to some new pizza competition in town from Dominoes Pizza. &nbsp;

Great Bend Community Coordinator Christina Hayes said the sign war was so successful last year that it is now going to be an annual event. &nbsp;

“Every year, we’ve determined that the 15th - so the day after Valentine’s Day - through the end of the month is going to be Great Bend sign war time. So it will be every year.”&nbsp;

Photos of the signs often end up on social media and go viral. Last year, Wendy's sign humorously addressed problems with the COVID-19 pandemic. It read "2020 No TP, 2021 No Employees." &nbsp;

That one sign received millions of views on social media.&nbsp;
