The City of Great Bend sent representatives again this year to Omaha, Nebraska for a trade show to highlight Great Bend, Cheyenne Bottoms and the Kansas Wetlands Education Center.

Great Bend Convention and Visitors Bureau Director Christina Hays says representatives were at the trade show that started last Thursday.

"This was a really good thing for Great Bend and there are a lot of people that are interested in affordable and easy getaways," said Hayes. "Omaha is actually only 4.5 hours from Great Bend, so it is no different than Kansas City."

Hayes expected to reach between 2,000 and 5,000 people to share information on why they should travel down to Great Bend.

"There are a lot of people that look forward to our wetlands and our races," said Hayes. "We try to get them to come shop, stay, play and have a good time."
