A Friday night search warrant in Hosington resulted in the arrest of a 57-year old Hoisington man.
According to Barton County Sheriff Brian Bellendir, Nelson Adams Sr. of Hoisington was arrested after a search warrant was executed in the 200 block of South Clay Street. When deputies and detectives knocked on the front door to gain entry, the Adams was inside the residence and stated he had a gun. After a short standoff, Adams surrendered to the officers
Adams was taken into custody and transported to the Barton County Jail after approximately 1 ounce of methamphetamine and packaging materials were found at the location.
Adams was booked on possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute and criminal use of a firearm. He has since posted the $50,000 bond.
