Posted Jan 14, 2020 5:00 PM

The Great Bend Recreation Commission will be offering a new fitness class starting in February on Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:30 – 6:30 pm at the Great Bend Rec Activity Center (2715 18th Street).  This class is for anyone ages 16 and older.

Penalty Box HIIT Fit is a 45-minute workout for your entire body.  Using the innovative “Penalty Box,” the class will incorporate HIIT, agility drills, plyometrics and core strength exercises to help burn fat, increase your agility and improve your stamina.  Each class will feature a dynamic warm-up and an extended cool down and stretch.

Join us on Wednesday, January 15th, from 5:30 – 6:30 pm at the Great Bend Rec Activity Center (2715 18th Street) for a free demonstration lead by Great Bend Recreation Commission instructor, Dixie Divis, to learn more about this fun and exciting workout.

Also don’t forget about our other fitness classes that meet at a variety of times throughout the day and evenings starting the first week of February:  Fit For Life, Yoga, Gentle Yoga,  Dance Jam, Cardio Mix Up, Tai Chi for all levels, Noon Body Shaping and our Coffee, Cardio & Core class.

A complete list of programs and class details can be found at the GBRC web site at www.greatbendrec.com.  Online enrollment is now available on the website.  Please contact the Recreation Commission office at 793-3755, ext 110, or stop by the office located at 1214 Stone Street for more information or with any questions you may have.
