Clara Barton Hospital is pleased to announce that Amanda (Mandy) Hoffman, Director of Pharmacy has been promoted to the position of Vice President/Chief Operating Officer as current Vice President/Chief Nursing Officer, Jane Schepmann, plans to retire. Hoffman has been a licensed Pharmacist since 2012 and has been an employee with Clara Barton Hospital for nearly eight years.
Hoffman grew up in Olpe, Kansas. She attended the University of Saint Mary where she completed a Bachelor of Science in Biology/Chemistry and received her PharmD from the University of Kansas School of Pharmacy in 2012.
After graduating from the pharmacy program, Hoffman moved to Central Kansas with her husband Eric, who is originally from the Hoisington area. Prior to working full-time at Clara Barton Hospital, Hoffman worked in both the hospital and retail pharmacy setting and also covered for the Clara Barton Hospital Pharmacy on a PRN-basis.
Hoffman began working full-time at Clara Barton Hospital in October of 2016 when she was hired with the intent to take over for former Pharmacy Director, Celeste Meitner, after her retirement. In June, Meitner transitioned to partial-retirement and Hoffman was promoted to Director of Pharmacy. As she transitions to VP/COO of Clara Barton Hospital, she will continue her role as the Pharmacy Director and accept the additional administrative responsibilities her new role entails.
“I understand how vital our organization is, keeping quality healthcare close to home, and I am very excited to be taking on this new role at Clara Barton Hospital,” said Hoffman. “I have sincerely enjoyed working alongside our remarkable staff and I am thankful for the opportunity to serve as Vice President and continue to build on our organization’s successes.”
Hoffman and her husband Eric live in Great Bend, KS and have three daughters Macy, Lexan, and Breckyn.
