Great Bend Community Theatre (GBCT) will present their first radio production of "It's A Wonderful Life" Saturday, Dec. 19 and Sunday, Dec. 20 at 7 p.m.

The broadcast will air on KVGB 1590-AM, and 95.5-FM or listeners can hear the performance online by visiting greatbendpost.com and clicking on the KVGB logo at the top of the page.

Cast member Matt Mazouch says the play will last approximately 90 minutes with 14 actors performing more than 40 roles, and juggling multiple roles is an experience within itself.

"I have five roles, and I can tell you, it's a challenge. It's easy for me to do a voice for a minute or two, but maintaining that and going in and out of different voices on different pages is really a challenge. More than I thought it would be, that's for sure," chuckles Mazouch.

Mazouch says the GBCT is a very close-knit organization and is more like a family than just a group of people that enjoy theatre.

"I'm a lot busier now, but I find it hard to give up. Some days I think I can't do any more shows because I'm just too busy. Then you have a show where it's just six practices, and then I think I can't turn that down, I can do that. Yeah, you see many of the same people in the shows, but then again, you may not see some of the people for a year, and then you see them in a show again. It really is this cast of characters. You have a lot of the same people involved behind the scenes in every show."
