From USD 428 Great Bend...
Dear USD 428 Families and Staff,
We are pleased to share that school will resume tomorrow, Wednesday, Dec. 4, and will follow the standard daily schedule. While a water boil advisory remains in effect for the City of Great Bend, we have taken the necessary precautions to ensure the safety and well-being of our students and staff.
Here is an overview of precautions:
- Drinking fountains will be shut off or covered for the time being, and bottled water will be available at all school sites.
- Students will be allowed to wash their hands and will be encouraged to follow up with hand sanitizer, which will be provided in restrooms and classrooms.
- Food service will operate as usual, following all Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) guidelines. An updated menu is now available on the WebMenus App and online - click here.
