The Great Bend Chamber of Commerce was bustling with activity this summer, culminating in two memorable events with First Kansas Bank to celebrate their new addition and updated facility at the corner of 10th and McKinley. Both events drew enthusiastic crowds, reflecting the community's strong support for the bank.

The celebration began on Thursday, August 29th, with a Chamber Business After Hours event from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Attendees were invited to tour the new addition, which seamlessly integrates with the original building and showcases First Kansas Bank’s commitment to providing high-quality service to the community. The atmosphere was lively as guests mingled, enjoying refreshments while taking tours of the bank's new expansion.

Then, on Thursday, September 12th, First Kansas Bank hosted a Chamber Coffee, where attendees heard about the bank’s deep community involvement. Customers expressed their appreciation for the bank’s support, and Paul Snapp, President and CEO, emphasized the Great Bend branch’s sevenfold growth since moving into its current location in 2007.

Immediately following the Chamber Coffee, a Ribbon Cutting ceremony was held to officially celebrate the new addition. Paul Snapp remarked, “Great Bend and Barton County have been very generous in their support of First Kansas Bank. The Chamber has been an important part of our strong growth over the last 20 years.” This significant growth made the expansion both timely and necessary, reinforcing the bank’s commitment to serving the needs of the community for years to come.
