Kansas deputy found cocaine during traffic stop

JACKSON COUNTY—Law enforcement are investigating a suspect on drug allegations. 

Just after 11 a.m. September 10, a Sheriff’s Deputy conducted a traffic stop on a Nissan Altima for a traffic violation on U.S. Highway 75 and 142nd Road in rural Jackson County, according to Sheriff Tim Morse.

During the traffic stop, cocaine was located in the vehicle. The driver, Dustin James Spooner, 39, of Topeka, was arrested on requested charges of possession of cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving without a license.
