GARDEN CITY — At approximately 10:40 p.m. Tuesday, officers of the Garden City Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a Chevrolet Silverado in the 1200 block of North Eighth. Officers had prior knowledge that the license plate was stolen out of Garden City, according to a media release.
Officers made contact with Emilio Gomez, 27, and Sarah Paz, 41, both of Garden City. After investigation, a search of the vehicle was conducted, where suspected methamphetamine, marijuana, drug paraphernalia and a firearm were located. Gomez and Paz were arrested at the scene.
Gomez and Paz were lodged in the Finney County jail on suspicion of:
• Distribution of methamphetamine
• Distribution of marijuana
• Distribution of drug paraphernalia
• Criminal use of a weapon by a person addicted to a controlled substance
• Driving while suspended
