SEDGWICK COUNTY —The Wichita Police Department reported that 2-year-old Ryan Ramones was located safe. Richard Ramones is currently in custody. The Kansas Bureau of Investigation canceled the Amber Alert.
At 11:30 p.m. on Sunday, Ryan Ramones was physically taken from his mother by his father, Richard Ramones, who assaulted the mother. She was holding Ryan at the time of the assault and the father fell into furniture with the child, possibly causing injury to him.
Richard took the boy and left the residence of 7101 West Shade Apt. 515, in Wichita. He was on foot headed in an unknown direction. The child was believed to be injured and in imminent danger. Police did not release details on the condition of the boy.
