SEDGWICK COUNTY — Wichita, the most populous city in Kansas held a swearing in ceremony for their new mayor on Monday night.

In November voters overwhelmingly elected political newcomer and former television news anchor Lily Wu over incumbent Wichita mayor Brandon Whipple.
Wu a graduate of Wichita State University is the first Asian American elected as mayor of the city. Her top priorities as mayor are public safety and restoring trust in city hall, according to her campaign web site.
