JOHNSON COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating two suspect for allegedly making fake cash.

Earlier this week, patrol officers were sent to investigate suspicious activity occurring at a hotel near 95th Street and Interstate 35 highway in Lenexa, according to a media release.

The suspects had just left, but the police dispatchers located them using street cameras at a nearby fast-food restaurant.  Patrol officers contacted those suspects, and through investigation found evidence of money counterfeiting, including printed currency, a printer and chemicals used to "wash" the ink off bills.

Two suspects, not from the area, were charged Tuesday with counterfeiting by the Johnson County District Attorney's Office.
