
JACKSON COUNTY—Law enforcement are investigating a suspect on drug allegations.
Just after 2 a.m. December 11, a sheriff's deputy stopped a Toyota Corolla for a traffic infraction on 150th near Mayetta, according to Sheriff Tim Morse.
The driver, Gilbert Benjamin Kent, 38, of Topeka, was arrested after a Jackson County Sheriff’s K-9 indicated to the presence of illegal narcotics within the vehicle.
Kent was arrested and booked into the Jackson County Jail on requested charges of no driver’s license and possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
