Investigation of suspicious package near Kan. abortion provider continues

SEDGWICK COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities continue their investigation surrounding a suspicious package was found at Abortion. Provider, Trust Women, 5107 East Kellogg in Wichita on August 2.

On Friday afternoon, police provided a limited update on the investigation that according to Officer juan Rebolledo is still active.

"Based on the investigation conducted thus far, police do not currently possess any information suggesting that this incident is linked to a particular group," according to Rebolledo. "The evidence gathered up to this point does not indicate any intent to disrupt regular business operations, or city activities, or cause fear among the public."

Evidence collected from the scene has been submitted for further examination and laboratory testing and police are waiting for the results of these tests. Police have not located valuable videos of the incident.
