Reno County sales tax receipts were the highest ever recorded for the month of September, according to figures released from the Reno County Treasurer's Office.
September numbers totaled $559,819, more than $102,000 ahead of the same month last year. The figure is even higher than September of 2019 when the county received a windfall of sales tax from paying off the bonds on the correctional facility early.
It's also the second time the county has surpassed the $500,000 mark in 2022. Sales tax receipts have surpassed the previous year seven of the nine months of 2022.
