Another sports casualty of the Coronavirus as there will be no American Legion baseball in the state this summer. Great Bend American Legion coach Darin Hall made that announcement Monday night in a text to local media.
Kansas American Legion State Baseball Chairman Steve Queen had said in late April that they were optimistically getting ready to play baseball but the state committee has now decided to cancel the 2020 summer season.
The National American Legion governing body had already canceled the Regional and National Tournaments for the upcoming summer but had left state organizations to decide whether or not to play baseball in 2020.
Darin Hall said Monday night he would be releasing more information in the coming days.
