LAHAINA, Hawaii (AP) — Devon Dotson scored 31 points, Udoka Azubuike had seven of his 29 in overtime and No. 4 Kansas outlasted Dayton 90-84 to win its third Maui Invitational title. The Flyers and Jayhawks spent much of the afternoon trading leads and highlight-reel plays in a bleacher-shaking atmosphere inside the bandbox Lahaina Civic Center.

CANCUN, Mexico (AP) — Oscar Tshiebwe scored 19 points and grabbed a career-high 18 rebounds to lead West Virginia to a 75-63 win over Wichita State in the championship game of the Cancun Classic. Emmitt Matthews Jr. added 13 points for the Mountaineers, who pulled away in the second half.

FORT MYERS, Fla. (AP) — Nate Kennell scored 22 points and Bradley beat Kansas State 73-60 as 2019 NCAA Tournament teams met in the third-place game of the second annual Fort Myers Tip-Off. Kennell made 6 of 8 3-pointers for the Braves (5-2) and Darrell Brown, who made 4 of 8 behind the arc, added 15 points.

NEW YORK (AP) — Isaac Likekele scored a career-high 26 points to lead Oklahoma State to an 86-72 win over Syracuse in the second game of the NIT Season Tip-Off at Barclays Center. The Cowboys will meet Mississippi in the championship game, which will follow Syracuse’s date with Penn State in the consolation.

UNDATED (AP) — The Big 12 is closing out the regular season with the Bedlam and `Farmageddon’ rivalry games. No. 7 Oklahoma and No. 21 Oklahoma State are playing their annual Bedlam game. Kansas State and Iowa State are on the final weekend for the third year in a row. The Red River rivalry game between Oklahoma and Texas at the State Fair of Texas in October is really the only Big 12 game that has a set spot on the schedule each season.

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) — Trying to avoid a losing season is not how Texas expected to spend its Thanksgiving weekend. Yet, that’s what faces the Longhorns on Friday as they host Texas Tech. Beat the Red Raiders and they guarantee coach Tom Herman’s third season will at least finish above .500. Lose and they head into a panicky bowl season. Texas Tech is looking for a boost to end coach Matt Well’s first season, which will end without a bowl game.

FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) — TCU is in the same position it was at the end of the regular season last year. The 5-6 Horned Frogs have to win their last game to get bowl eligible. They are home Friday to play 4-7 West Virginia. The TCU seniors made it to the Big 12 championship game in 2017. But this could be the third time in four years the Frogs finish with six wins in the regular season. If they lose, the will miss a bowl for only the third time in coach Gary Patterson’s 19 seasons.

National Headlines

UNDATED (AP) — The NCAA has denied an appeal by Memphis to have the suspension of center James Wiseman reduced from 12 games. The heralded freshman won’t be able to play again for the 16th-ranked Tigers until Jan. 12 at South Florida. The penalty surrounds the $11,500 that Memphis coach Penny Hardaway gave Wiseman’s family for moving expenses from Nashville to Memphis in the summer of 2017.

ENGLEWOOD, Col. (AP) — The Denver Broncos are upping quarterback Drew Lock's snaps at practice in preparation for his possible debut Sunday against the Los Angeles Chargers. Coach Vic Fangio said Wednesday that the second-round pick from Missouri who has been on IR all season will take 75% of the snaps with Brandon Allen taking the rest. The Broncos turned to Allen when Joe Flacco went on IR at midseason.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — The Tennessee Titans have placed three-time Pro Bowl tight end Delanie Walker on injured reserve for a second straight season. Walker had missed the past four games and played only five snaps Oct. 20 in a win over the Chargers after aggravating the right ankle he broke in the 2018 season opener. He had 21 catches for 215 yards and two touchdowns in seven games.

UNDATED (AP) — The Pittsburgh Pirates have confirmed the hiring of Derek Shelton as their new manager. Shelton replaces Clint Hurdle, who was fired on the final day of the season following a second-half collapse that dropped the Pirates to a last-place finish in the NL Central. The 49-year-old Shelton spent the last two seasons as the bench coach for the Minnesota Twins.
