Sheriff: Body found in Kansas had gunshot wound

SEDGWICK COUNTY — Law enforcement authorities are investigating the death of a man in Sedgwick County as a homicide.


Just after 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, a passerby found a Hispanic man lying next to the road near the train tracks in the 12000 block of east 45th Street North, according to Lt. Tim Myers with the Sedgwick County Sheriff's Department.


Responding deputies noticed a gunshot to the man’s body and he was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.

 

The Hispanic male was approximately 25 to 30 years old, according to Myers. Authorities have not released the victim's name or additional details.
