JOHNSON COUNTY—A Kansas woman is facing sex crime allegations.

Kassidy Alexander, 27, is charged with unlawful sexual relations, according to online jail records in Johnson County.  She is a former USD 232 school district employee.

The charges involve events occurring from July 25, 2022, to March 2024, according to court documents.  Alexander is accused of "unlawfully and feloniously engaging in consensual sexual intercourse" with someone 16 years or older, a student in the school, according to court documents.

USD 232 in a message to school district families reported the district became aware of the investigation in May.

"On Tuesday, May 14, district administration was made aware of an allegation of an inappropriate relationship between a female classified employee at Lexington Trails Middle School and a male high school student."  "Based on this information, the school district acted immediately to protect and care for those involved by suspending the employee in question. Upon being suspended, the individual immediately resigned their employment."

Alexander met the requirements of the $75,000 bond and is no longer in custody. She made her first court appearance on Aug. 8, according to online jail records.
