SEDGWICK COUNTY —Firefighters have a lot of responsibility. Last week Sedgwick County Station 32 was challenged with removing a titanium wedding ring, according to a social media report from the fire station.
"Titanium is an extremely hard metal that cannot be cut with our normal ring cutters. The crew had to get creative and use a tape measure and small cutting wheel to remove the ring."
"Cold water was also needed to keep the ring cool while it was being cut. The ring was removed safely without incident."
