The Hutchinson Monarchs pounded out 18-hits in scoring 13 runs in a 13-4 win over the Great Bend Bat Cats Saturday night in a Sunflower Collegiate League contest at Hobart-Detter Field in Hutchinson.
Every player in the Monarch lineup had at least one hit with seven of those players knocking in at least one run. Hutch scored in every inning but two in improving to 14-4 in the SCL.
Great Bend, who scored three of their four runs in the third inning to pull within 4-3, dropped to 12-13 overall at 11-11 in league play.
The two teams continue their series in Hutchinson on Sunday afternoon.
