TOPEKA — On Wednesday, Governor Laura Kelly attended a Kwanzaa celebration at the Kansas Statehouse.

"The rich traditions and shared values of Kwanzaa remind us of our strength when we come together. As we light the kinara, we celebrate and reflect on the seven principles that guide us to strive for unity," the governor wrote on social media.

&nbsp;The Kansas African American Affairs Commission helped host the event.
