Sheriff investigating attempted child abduction at Kansas park

COFFEY COUNTY —Law enforcement are investigating an alleged attempted child abduction in Coffey County.

Just before 2p.m. Friday, an attempted child abduction was reported to the Coffey County, Kansas sheriff's office

The attempted abduction occurred in Waverly, Kansas, near the city park, 112 N Powers Boulevard, according a social media report from the sheriff's office..

The vehicle involved was a late model Silver Lexus with Minnesota tags. The vehicle was last seen traveling westbound on 6th Avenue from Kelley Street.
