KHP IDs 3 who died and 4 injured after head-on crash

MORRIS COUNTY— The Kansas Highway Patrol has released the names of three people who died in an accident just before 4p.m. Saturday in Morris County.

According to the patrol, a 2014 Ram 1500 pickup driven by Andrew M. Steele, 53, White City, was southbound on Kelso Road at P Avenue approximately 6 miles Northwest of Council Grove.

The pickup was traveling in the center of the road and struck a northbound 2024 Toyota Rav4 driven by  Troy A. Sabean, 33, Roseville, Minnesota, head-on.

 Sabean and passengers in the Toyota identified as Ann C. Porter, 69, Fergus Falls, Minnesota and Emma M. Porter, 33, Roseville, Minnesota, were pronounced dead at the scene.

EMS transported passengers in the Toyota Paul M. Porter, 68, and Kathleen L. Lebarron, 64, both of Edina, Minnesota to Stormont Vail. 

EMS transported Steele to the Morris County Hospital and a passenger in the pickup Lisa M. Steele, 51, White City, to KU Medical Center. Andrew Steele was not wearing a seat belt, according to the KHP.

MORRIS COUNTY—Three people died in an accident just before 4p.m. Saturday in Morris County.

The head-on crash occurred near P Avenue and Kelso Road, according to the Morris County Sheriff.

 One of the vehicles had 2 occupants, both were transported by Morris County EMS to the Morris County Hospital with serious injuries.

The other vehicle had 5 occupants, 2 occupants were transported by Morris County EMS to the Morris County Hospital with life-threatening injuries, the other 3 occupants were pronounce dead at the scene of the crash, according to the sheriff's office.
