SEDGWICK COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating a shooting and searching for suspects.
Just after 10:30p.m. Wednesday, police responded to the report of a shooting in the 1800 Block of South Glendale in Wichita, according to Officer Kristopher Gupilan.
Upon arrival in the area, a 17-year-old with a single gunshot wound contacted officers. EMS transported to the boy to an area hospital and he is expected to survive.
Police investigators followed-up on preliminary information provided by the victim and located a shooting scene. Investigators are continuing to follow-up on information and are looking for additional evidence, including video to determine what occurred.
