Larned – Anne LoBianco Graner, 92, passed away February 15, 2023 at Pawnee Valley Community Hospital. She was born June 7, 1930 in Oyster Bay, L.I., New York, the daughter of Frank and Josephine Testa LoBianco.

Her husband, Reverend James Graner, whom she married in Oyster Bay on April 7, 1956, had them traveling where there was a need for a minister. After many years, he was sent to Kinsley and they finally settled in Larned where they remained longtime members of Saints Mary and Martha of Bethany Episcopal Church. They had a son, David Graner who was her pride and joy. She was very proud of his military service and his career as a chef and always looked forward to his visits home. Anne believed in community involvement and belonged to many clubs and volunteer groups: the Garden Club, Farmers Club, Jordan Memorial Library Board of Directors, Radium Ranger Senior Center, Welcome Inn Senior Center, Prairie Arts Unlimited, Ladies VFW Auxiliary, American Legion, and Music Club.

She was also the music club director, pianist, and organist for the church. Anne also dedicated her later life to volunteering at the Pawnee Valley Community Hospital for many years, come rain or shine.

Anne had a radiant smile and a positive outlook equal to the love she had for her family, friends and church. She also inherited a green

thumb from her father and showed the same excitement in her gardens that he radiated in his gardens and greenhouse. Anne also loved history and took pleasure in touring Fort Larned sharing her knowledge with her visitors. She was a huge Kansas City Chiefs fan, at one of their home games she was so excited to go down on the field. Anne was so happy to see her Chiefs win the Super Bowl this year.

She is survived by her nieces and nephews: Elise, Joselle, Roberta, Dennis, Kevin, Frank, Barbara Edward, Blanche, Gail and Jim.

She was preceded in death by: her parents, husband, son David and three sisters: Marie Gilbert, Grace Smith, and Rose Murphy.

Cremation has taken place and services will be announced at a later date by Beckwith Mortuary.
