MIAMI COUNTY, Kansas—Authorities are investigating the cause of a deadly rural Kansas house fire. Just after 11 a.m. on Thursday, crews responded to a house fire in the 600 block of N. Fifth Street in Louisburg, according to a media release.
First responders found a child and an adult deceased as a result of the fire.
Crews from Paola, Miami County and Overland Park all arrived at the scene to assist. The State Fire Marshal is in charge of the investigation. Authorities have not released the names or ages of the victims. Louisburg is located approximately 40 miles south of Kansas City.
