Great Bend Post
The skills competition, presented by the Major League Baseball Network,
will give children in the Great Bend area a chance to show off their baseball and
softball skills.
The MLB Pitch, Hit & Run competition will be hosted at the Great Bend
Sports Complex July 5 from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. for boys and girls
ages 7-14.
The children are scored on their pitching, hitting and running.
Participants have the opportunity to advance through three levels of competition,
culminating in the National Finals at the MLB World Series.
Last year, Great Bend had three children earn a trip to Kauffman Stadium in
Kansas City to compete in the Team Championship.
