The Barton Community College women's basketball team found out Sunday night they received the #16-seed in the NJCAA National Tournament and will face Moberly Area Community College in the first round on March 22 in Lubbock, TX.
The Lady Cougars (28-5), ranked 16th in the country, won their first Region VI Championship Saturday since 2008, defeating Coffeyville 60-56.
The National Tournament consists of 24 teams, with 16 automatic qualifiers from Region champions across the country.
Barton's game against the Moberly Area Greyhounds (28-3) will begin at 10 a.m. on March 22. The broadcast of the game will air on 104.3 FM and greatbendpost.com. The winner will play #1-seed South Georgia Tech on March 23.
