John H. Delgado, 77, passed away Sunday, December 6, 2020, at his home in Great Bend. He was born May 22, 1943, in Great Bend the son of Julian and Alberta (Gutierrez) Delgado.

John was a life time resident of Great Bend. He started working in the oil field and then worked at different jobs.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;He was a member of the Eagles and St. Rose Catholic Church. He was an avid fan of the Kansas City Chiefs. John enjoyed fishing, collecting junk, county music and western movies. He loved spending time with his family and friends.

Survivors include Marcia French of the home; his children, Deana Hunt of Quinlan, TX,&nbsp;&nbsp;John (Stefanie) Delgado Jr., and Mark Delgado all of Dallas, TX; three brothers, Frank Delgado, Guy “Beaver” (Terri) Delgado and Alexander (Tracey Klima) Delgado, all of Great Bend; two sisters, Julia Ann (Don) Jones of Hutchinson, and Martha Croy of Seagoville, TX; eight grandchildren, Luke, Ashley, Jonathan, John Jr., Ryan, Zak, Zane, and Zan; four great grandchildren, Audrey, Lacey, Luke, and Emmett; his loyal dogs Poncho and Baby Girl; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant daughter, Roberta Delgado; his grandparents, Vincent and Alejandra Gutierrez, and Manuel and Maria Delgado; a son-in-law, Andy Hunt; a sister-in-law, Gwini Delgado; and a brother-in-law, Bill Croy.

There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. Friends may come to Bryant Funeral Home to leave condolences and sign the memorial book Thursday and Friday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 12, 2020 at Great Bend Cemetery with Father Don Bedore presiding. John H. Delgado

John W. Carr, 82, passed away Friday, December 4, 2020, at his home in Great Bend. He was born September 4, 1938, in Ellis the son of Walt and Grace Crist. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Norma (Fuhr). John was a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather.

John was a lifetime resident of Kansas. He was a truck driver for many years after working in the oilfields. He enjoyed fishing, and traveling especially to Branson, Mo. John loved being with his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his first wife Clara Jean (Pruitt), his parents, brother Jack Carr, sister Sandy Newkirk and two grandsons.&nbsp;

Other survivors include his five children; Tammy (Billy) Lindsay of North Carolina, Candi (Dion) Vasquez of Hoisington, Joni (Eugene) Carr of Russell, Ray (Carrie) Larson of Great Bend and Jeffrey (Sandi) Carr of Colorado. He has four sisters, Jan Flint of Great Bend, Gloria (Scott) Calloway of Pratt, Tonya Appel of Larned and Kay Gilkey of Hutchinson; one brother Eddie (Rayetta) Crist of Great Bend; fourteen grandchildren and twenty eight great grandchildren.

There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. Graveside services will 2:00 p.m. Wednesday December 9, 2020 at St. Paul’s Cemetery in Holyrood with pastor Debby Rains presiding. GREAT BEND - Jeanetta Rose Deutsch, 78, passed away December 7, 2020, at Salina Regional Health Center.&nbsp;&nbsp;Her death is not covid related. She was born on October 31, 1942, Hoisington, to Bryan &amp; Sadie (Kaufman) Stalcup. She married Harold U. Brack and they later divorced. She then married Clarence Deutsch on February 26, 1979 and they later divorced.&nbsp;

Living in Great Bend for the last 30 years, Jeanetta previously lived in Hoisington. She attended First Assembly of God Church in Great Bend. She was a traveling OB nurse, with over 20 years of experience, having traveled to all 50 states. Jeanetta loved her travel nursing career, and enjoyed collecting lighthouses, candles and sea shells.&nbsp;

Survivors include, a son, Harold Dean Brack of Hutchinson; three daughters, Cynthia Rose Brack of Ellinwood, Alina Annette Hinson and husband Greg of Great Bend, and Diana Doreen "Dee" Mead and husband Kenny of Hoisington; a step daughter, Ruth Ellen Joiner of Great Bend; two sisters, Darlene Benedick and husband George of Decatur, Tex., and Janis Brack of Great Bend; nine grandchildren, Angel, Steven, Sara, Seth, Miranda, Amy, Daniel, Samantha, and Gabe; and eighteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Glenn Stalcup and Farrell Stalcup; and a sister, Lorraine Miller.&nbsp;

Family visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Sunday, December 13, 2020, at Bryant Funeral Home. Frederick Oberle, 91, died Dec. 5, 2020, at Ellsworth County Medical Center, Ellsworth.&nbsp; He was born May 19, 1929, in Bushton, to Anton
and Lena (Feist) Oberle.&nbsp; Victor married Mary
Rose Wondra April 14, 1953, in Odin.&nbsp; She
survives.

Victor, a
long-time resident of northern Barton County, owned Oberle Sand and Gravel Co.,
which he operated from 1977 until his retirement in 1991.&nbsp; He was a member of Immaculate Conception
Catholic Church, Claflin, and American Legion Argonne Post 180, Great
Bend.&nbsp; He served his country, during the
Korean Conflict, in the U.S. Army 216th Chemical Division, from 1950 to 1952.&nbsp; He enjoyed playing pitch, solitaire, and
checkers and was an avid bike rider.

Survivors
include his wife, Mary Rose of the home; one son, Ray Oberle and wife Sandi of
Claflin; two daughters, Patricia Schmidt and husband David of Claflin and
Christine Robl and husband Quentin of Salina; 11 grandchildren, Tami Tully,
Eric Schmidt, Travis Schmidt, Emily Perterson, Nicole Ball, Rebecca Brown,
Kaylyn Price, Jacob Oberle, Megan Robl, Jared Robl and Tanner Robl; 15 great

Victor Frederick Oberle

Leland Francis Paul “Lee” Schaffer, 69, Liebenthal,
Kansas, passed away Wednesday, December 2, 2020, at The University Of Kansas
Hospital, Kansas City, Kansas, from health related issues.

Lee was born February
24, 1951, in Hays, Kansas, the son of Michael C. and Juanita A. (Urban)
Schaffer.&nbsp; After attending La Crosse High School, La
Crosse, Kansas, he moved to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and then Dallas, Texas,
and worked in construction. He met and wed his kids' mother, DeNiece Fallwell ,
and had Johnathan Schaffer and Amy Schaffer.

In 1975, Lee returned to Kansas, and after working at the La
Crosse Furniture Factory in La Crosse, Kansas, began his career as a journeyman
lineman for Midwest Energy moving to Hanston, Kansas, in 1980.&nbsp; In 1992, Lee met Jan Campbell, the art
teacher in Jetmore, Kansas. Jan and Lee married on horseback in Westmoreland,
Kansas, Jan's hometown, on October 26th, 1993.&nbsp;
Lee left Midwest Energy in 1995 to start Schaffer Trucking as
owner/operator for several years. His next adventure and true love was taking
over the Schaffer family farm, enjoying many successful years.

After retiring in 2017, Lee spent his time supporting the farm and
passing on the tradition to Gregory Schaffer, his nephew.

Survivors
include:&nbsp; his wife, Jan Schaffer; one
son, John Schaffer; one daughter, Amy Schaffer-Wilson (Wade); three
grandchildren, Madeline Schaffer, Jackson Schaffer,
and Levi Schaffer, one brother, Harvey Schaffer (Laurie); and one
sister, Donna Herrman (James); and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in
death by his parents; and one brother, Roy Michael Schaffer.

Church visitation
will be Thursday, December 10, 2020, from 9:00 A.M. to 9:50 A.M. at St.
Joseph’s Catholic Church, Liebenthal, Kansas.

Mary Ann Pool, 93, Otis, Kansas, passed away Friday,
December 4, 2020, at her home.

Mary Ann was born
October 6, 1927, in Wichita, Kansas, the daughter of Charles B. and Maryann
Melinda “Millie” (Armstrong) Jenkins.&nbsp; She
was a resident of Rush County, Kansas, for 65+ years, moving from Phillipsburg,
Kansas.&nbsp; A 1945 graduate of Phillipsburg
High School, Phillipsburg, Kansas, she worked for Case Implement, Ochs Inc.,
and the Otis State Bank, all of Otis, Kansas, before her retirement.

She was a member of
the United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Otis Community Library,
Otis City Council, Lions Club, all of Otis, Kansas.&nbsp; Mary Ann was also a Girl Scout leader, Den
Mother for the Cub Scouts, and active in numerous community services.

Mary Ann enjoyed
socializing and playing cards with friends.&nbsp;
She enjoyed being in her back yard, “Her Happy Place”, and took great
pride in her family and community.&nbsp; She
also loved watching her KU Jayhawks basketball team.

On June 8, 1952, she
married Vayne E. Pool at Phillipsburg, Kansas.&nbsp;
He preceded her in death April 25, 1967

Survivors include: &nbsp;one son, Jim Charles Pool (Shelley), Omaha,
Nebraska; two daughters, Janece L. Pool, Sellersburg, Indiana, and Jolene K.
Welch (Mike), Wichita Falls, Texas; five grandchildren, Jennifer Renner (Rich),
Wichita Falls, Texas, Jason Newhall (Renee), Little Elm, Texas, Jamie Wilson
(Chip), Austin, Texas, Weston Pool (Jamie), Omaha, Nebraska, and Aaron Pool,
Omaha, Nebraska; and six great grandchildren, Addison and Grant Renner, Riley
and Kendall Newhall, and Kaylee and Mia Wilson.

She was preceded in
death by her parents; four brothers, Eddie Jenkins, Boyd Jenkins, Paul Jenkins,
and Robert Jenkins; and one sister, Alice McBroom.

The family is hosting
a come and go celebration of Mary Ann’s life Wednesday, December 9, 2020, from
4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. at her home in Otis, Kansas.

John married Elaine Marie Wondra June 3, 1972, in Odin.&nbsp; Elaine survives.&nbsp;

A long-time
resident of Hoisington, John most recently worked at Walmart, retiring in 2015,
previously working at Town and Country Supermarket and Suburban Laundry.&nbsp; He was a past member of the Hoisington City
Council, member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and was a Third and
Fourth Degree member of the Knights of Columbus, Council 1521, serving as past
financial secretary and past and current Grand Knight.&nbsp; John enjoyed hunting, fishing, puzzles,
traveling, especially cruising; and above all spending time with his family and
supporting every grandchild’s event.&nbsp; His
volunteerism was displayed through his donation of time to the Red Cross Blood
Drives and Meals on Wheels.

Survivors
include his wife, Elaine of the home; two daughters, Jennifer Michaelis and
husband Marty of Hoisington and Melissa Davis and husband Mike of Hoisington;
six grandchildren, Owen Michaelis, Evan Michaelis, Cameron Yanda, Aaron Yanda,

died November 28, 2020, at his home in Great Bend, Kansas. He was born January
26, 1961, in Dubuque, Iowa, the son of Raphael and Anna Mae (Breitbach) Bleile.

A resident of Great Bend,
coming from Dubuque, Iowa, Jeff worked for the Barton County Young Men’s
Organization. He was one of thirteen children and loved spending time with his
family.

He is survived by; a
daughter, Tina Marie Wallace-Bleile of Siloam Springs, Arkansas; ten siblings;
Joyce Kluesner of Epworth, Iowa, Gary Bleile of Brookland, Texas; Jim Bleile of
Dubuque, Iowa, Rick Bleile of Charles City, Iowa, Sarah Blatz of Bellvue, Iowa,
Bonnie Sellens of Great Bend, Kansas, Jean Link of Dubuque, Iowa, Rose Frank of
Auburn, Washington, Scott Bleile of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Terry Bleile of
Mason City, Iowa.

Eleanor H. Ramsey, 90, of
Jenera, Ohio, and formerly of Great Bend, died on Friday, November 13, 2020.

She was born on June 20,
1930, in Danville, Illinois to Walter and Anne (Bauer) Siewert. She married her
husband Wendell in Watsonville, California on August 6, 1961, and they enjoyed
35 years of marriage together until his death on April 4, 1997.

Eleanor is survived by her sons
Steve (Mary) Ramsey of Jenera, Ohio, and Craig Ramsey of Rock Island, Illinois.
She is survived as well by six grandchildren including Craig’s children Dustin,
Jason and Jamie; and Steve’s sons Jacob (Amber), Aaron (Alyssa) and David
(Gina). Eleanor is survived as well by two great-grandchildren, Harper and
Silas.

Eleanor was preceded in death
by her daughter-in-law Patricia.

A graduate of Millikin
University in Decatur, Illinois, Eleanor was a music teacher and homemaker and
a faithful member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Great Bend. She is best
remembered as a violinist, who played many years in the Barton County Community
College orchestra, for local high school musicals, and for Sunday morning
worship services; and she loved every minute of it.&nbsp; Eleanor was also active in the Etudian Study
Club and volunteered for Meals on Wheels.

Ronald LeRoy Unruh, 93, passed away December 4, 1927, at his home in Great
Bend. He was born November 24, 1927, at Great Bend, to Arline S. &amp; Frances
L. (Turpin) Unruh. He married his wife Shirley Rosenthal on October 28, 1964. She
passed away on January 21, 1979.

A lifetime
Great Bend resident, Ronald was retired from the United States Navy. He enjoyed
woodworking and being with his father. 

Survivors
include, two brothers, Herbert Unruh and wife Patty of Lyons, and Lester Unruh
and wife Bonnie of Hendersonville, Mo.; four nieces, Cheryl, Karen, Andrea, and
Mandy; and a nephew, Scott. He was preceded in passing by his parents; and

November 17, 1920 in Catharine, Kansas to Jacob A. and Elizabeth (Staab) Schmidt.&nbsp; She married Albert Stang on June 10, 1946, in Catharine, Kansas.&nbsp; He preceded her in death on March 3, 1976.&nbsp;

She was a CNA at St. John’s Nursing Home in Victoria, and at the Hadley Hospital in Hays for many years.&nbsp; She was a volunteer for the Senior Companion Program in Hays for many years and was recognized as Senior Companion of the Year.&nbsp; Anita grew up in Catharine, and attended the Catharine Grade School.&nbsp; Her faith was her foundation of her life.&nbsp; She lived in Victoria until moving to Hays in 1975, then moved to Great Bend in 2000, and then to the Ellsworth Village in 2015.&nbsp; Anita was a member of the Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Great Bend, the Victoria Daughters of Isabella, the Victoria V.F.W. Auxiliary, and was a Past President. &nbsp;

Survivors include one son, Dr. Patrick Stang and wife, Cathy, Great Bend, KS; two daughters, Marilyn Pflughoeft and husband, Roger, Wichita, KS; Ruth Brunts and husband, Richard, Alamogordo, NM; one daughter-in-law, Ruann Stang, Ellsworth, KS; three grandchildren, Dylan Stang (Kristel); Elizabeth Stang and Alex Richards; John Stang; four great grandchildren, Asher, Avery and Abram Stang; and Viviann Richards.

GREAT BEND -&nbsp;Duane LeRoy Jacobs, 64, passed away December 1, 2020, at his home in Great Bend. He was born on November 19, 1956, at LaCrosse, to&nbsp;Celestine &amp; Thelma&nbsp;&nbsp;(Herrman) Jacobs.&nbsp;

Coming from LaCrosse in 1978, Duane was a Great Bend resident. He was a machinist at Fuller Brush. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge and VFW Auxiliary. Duane loved music and always was the DJ. He had many friends and was an animal lover.&nbsp;

Survivors include, two brothers, Ray Jacobs and wife Marsha of Great Bend, and Kenneth Jacobs and wife Connie of Catawissa, Mo.; a sister Paula Kuhn and husband Jed of Great Bend; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.&nbsp;

Max Moomaw, 87, died on Wednesday, December 2, 2020, at Western Plains 
Medical Complex in Dodge City. He was born on January 2, 1933, in Lane 
County the son of John Walter &amp; Kathryn Hazel (Murphy) Moomaw. He 
married Beverly Ann Cordes on June 7, 1958, at Meade. She died on 
September 16, 2011. 
Max graduated from Dighton High School in 1950 and enlisted in the 
United States Navy, serving until 1956. After his discharge he attended
 Kansas State University before transferring to Fort Hays State 
University and received his Bachelor’s in Mathematics. He returned to 
the family farm and was a lifelong farmer-stockman. 
Max was very active in his community. He served as the State 
Representative for the 117th District from 1981 to 1990 where he was the
 House Assistant Majority Leader and was proud of his work on the 
Migrant Workers Education Coalition. In Dighton he was a member of the 
United Methodist Church where he was a lay speaker and served on many 
committees. He was a founding organizer of the Lane County Blue Grass 
Festival. He was a board member of the First National Bank of Dighton, 
 Camp Lakeside in Scott County, J.O.Y. Center, Lane County Library and 
Lane County Farm Bureau. He was a past 4-H Leader, baseball and 
softball coach, served many years on the American Legion Post # 190 
Honor Guard for funerals and served as toastmaster and entertainment for
 various meetings and events. Max enjoyed golfing, playing poker, pool,
 cribbage, camping and dancing. He wrote songs and was well known for 
entertaining at nursing homes and senior centers. He recently had a 
routine of visiting the residents of Lane County Long Term Care on a 
regular basis. 
He is survived by his Daughter- Celia &amp; Jim Wells of Great Bend, 
Sons- Dan &amp; Lisa Moomaw and Mitch &amp; Terry Moomaw both of 
Dighton. Sister- Ruth Evans of Lyons, Longtime Companion- Jo Fouse of 
Garden City, 7 Grandchildren- Derek Moomaw, Mike &amp; Susanne Wells, 
Brent Moomaw, Lacy Wells, Corey Moomaw, Sam Moomaw &amp; Zeke Moomaw and
 Great-Grandson- Dalton Peters. He was preceded in death by his 
Parents, Wife, Sister- Marilyn Bennett and Granddaughter- Mandy Bennett. 
Funeral Service will be at 11:00 AM Monday at United Methodist Church in
 Dighton with Rev Berniece Ludlum officiating. Military honors will be 
provided by the United States Navy Honor Guard. The service will be 
facebook live on the Garnand Funeral Home facebook page.

County the son of John Walter &amp; Kathryn Hazel (Murphy) Moomaw. He 
married Beverly Ann Cordes on June 7, 1958, at Meade. She died on 
September 16, 2011. 
Max graduated from Dighton High School in 1950 and enlisted in the 
United States Navy, serving until 1956. After his discharge he attended
 Kansas State University before transferring to Fort Hays State 
University and received his Bachelor’s in Mathematics. He returned to 
the family farm and was a lifelong farmer-stockman. 
Max was very active in his community. He served as the State 
Representative for the 117th District from 1981 to 1990 where he was the
 House Assistant Majority Leader and was proud of his work on the 
Migrant Workers Education Coalition. In Dighton he was a member of the 
United Methodist Church where he was a lay speaker and served on many 
committees. He was a founding organizer of the Lane County Blue Grass 
Festival. He was a board member of the First National Bank of Dighton, 
 Camp Lakeside in Scott County, J.O.Y. Center, Lane County Library and 
Lane County Farm Bureau. He was a past 4-H Leader, baseball and 
softball coach, served many years on the American Legion Post # 190 
Honor Guard for funerals and served as toastmaster and entertainment for
 various meetings and events. Max enjoyed golfing, playing poker, pool,
 cribbage, camping and dancing. He wrote songs and was well known for 
entertaining at nursing homes and senior centers. He recently had a 
routine of visiting the residents of Lane County Long Term Care on a 
regular basis. 
He is survived by his Daughter- Celia &amp; Jim Wells of Great Bend, 
Sons- Dan &amp; Lisa Moomaw and Mitch &amp; Terry Moomaw both of 
Dighton. Sister- Ruth Evans of Lyons, Longtime Companion- Jo Fouse of 
Garden City, 7 Grandchildren- Derek Moomaw, Mike &amp; Susanne Wells, 
Brent Moomaw, Lacy Wells, Corey Moomaw, Sam Moomaw &amp; Zeke Moomaw and
 Great-Grandson- Dalton Peters. He was preceded in death by his 
Parents, Wife, Sister- Marilyn Bennett and Granddaughter- Mandy Bennett. 
Funeral Service will be at 11:00 AM Monday at United Methodist Church in
 Dighton with Rev Berniece Ludlum officiating. Military honors will be 
provided by the United States Navy Honor Guard. The service will be

GREAT BEND - Lance Walters, age 69, passed away November 24, 2020. Lance was born on February 14, 1951, in Manhattan, Kansas to Lloyd “Dutch” and Jan (McDonald) Walters. He married Pam Weigel and they later divorced. He then married Sandy Demel on September 25, 1987, at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Great Bend, Kansas.

Lance lived most of his life in Great Bend, Kansas. He owned and operated McDonald Tank &amp; Equipment, Inc. He began working there as a field hand on May 14, 1973. He worked his way up and then took over the business from his grandfather. Lance enjoyed working and anything outdoors, including riding the sand dunes, golfing and spending time at the lake.&nbsp;

Survivors include, his wife, Sandy Walters of the home; a daughter, Jessica Walters, a son, Kory Walters, and a grandson, Oren Walters, all of Great Bend; two brothers, Greg Walters and wife Gail of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, and John Hill and wife Julie of Olathe, Kansas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd “Dutch” Walters and Jan (McDonald) Walters Hill; and a brother, Randy Walters.&nbsp;

There will be no visitation, as cremation has taken place.&nbsp;&nbsp;A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. Memorials have been designated to the Kansas Oil &amp; Gas Museum or Holy Family School Endowment Fund, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.

Rundell on August 7, 1955 at Bucklin,&nbsp;Kansas.&nbsp;&nbsp;He was employed as a Land Surveyor by Wilson &amp; Company Engineering in&nbsp;Salina,&nbsp;Kansas&nbsp;for a number of years and later worked for Evans-Byerly-Hutchins Engineers of Great Bend, Kansas for fifteen years prior to his retirement.&nbsp;&nbsp;He Lewis was a member of&nbsp;Foundry&nbsp;Methodist&nbsp;Church&nbsp;in&nbsp;Great Bend,&nbsp;Kansas&nbsp;and was an active member of the Gideon Society.&nbsp;&nbsp;He was also a life-long member of the Kansas Society of Land Surveyors.&nbsp;&nbsp;Lewis enjoyed watching westerns and World War II movies on television and spending time with family.&nbsp;

Lewis E. Stephenson

Peggy Jo Koehn, daughter of Alex Schneider and Verna Brock Schneider, 
was born January 18, 1940, in Hays, Kansas. She departed this life, 
November 24, 2020, in Lake Regional Hospital, Osage Beach, Missouri at 
the age of eighty years, ten months and six days.
 On June 29, 1958, in Great Bend, Kansas, she was united in marriage 
to Ray L. Koehn and to this union two children were born. Together they
 shared forty-five years of marriage
 She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ray; and a sister Alexis Nichols.
 She is survived by her daughters, Debra Scott of Olathe, Kansas, and
 Donette Bockoven of Camdenton, Missouri; brother, Steve Schneider of 
Kingwood, Texas; Grandchildren, Amanda Scott, Stayci Bockoven &amp; 
Jerad Gwillim, Trayci Bockoven &amp; Shawn Gephart, Jennifer Moore, 
Travis Bockoven &amp; Jessica Bockoven, and Chase Harper; 
Great-grandchildren, Dayson Belk, Kristanna Moore, Bradley Moore, Ryder 
Gwillim, Jack Fahrnow IV, Talon Fahrnow, Trenton Bockoven, Avarie 
Gwillim, and Gabriella Bockoven. She also leaves behind a host of

then moved to Otis, Kansas through her adolescence and graduated from 
Otis High School. Shortly thereafter she had an encounter with a police 
officer in Great Bend, Kansas — not at first knowing that police 
officer, Ray Koehn, would be the future love of her life. After wedding, 
the two lived in several areas in the Midwest such as Kansas, Nebraska, 
Iowa, and Missouri. Peggy and Ray enjoyed retirement at Pomme De Terre 
lake for 16 years before moving and settling in for the full-blown lake 
life at the Lake of the Ozarks.
 Peggy made a profession of faith and last attended Ozark Chapel 
United Methodist Church in Laurie, Missouri and was a faithful believer 
in Christ.
 In her younger days, she loved motorcycling with her husband Ray and 
was named “Evel Knievel” for many reasons. They were NASCAR’s #1 fans, especially rooting for Jeff Gordon, Jimmy Johnson and Dale Earnhart Jr.
 She knew everyone’s business and all the gossip with ALL the drivers, 
even about their wives and children. As she studied, read, and watched 
everything there was if it had to do with NASCAR. And her conversation 
piece while talking with most everyone she ran into was of course NASCAR&nbsp; related. Whether you wanted to hear it or not. She also loved great 
food, boating, shopping, dancing, and was always the life of the party 
when she had the chance to be. She lived the lake life to the fullest, 
especially on her Sea-Doo. But mostly she loved spending time any chance
 she had with her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. They were all 
so loved by her.
 She was a loving and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her
 life and her accomplishments and will treasure the many memories she 
created for her family and friends.

He was born September 20, 1964 in Leadville, Colorado; the son of Lorraine Katherine Mitchell.&nbsp;&nbsp;A Larned resident since 2008; he was a mechanic, worked at Roth Equipment (Straub International) and most recently worked at Pawnee County Road and Bridge

He enjoyed fishing, spending time with his children and grandchildren and recycling used metals.&nbsp;&nbsp;Harry was a talented fabricator and mechanic.

He is survived by; his wife Tammy Werner – Timberman; six children, Tiffany (Bill) Roth, Larned, Bradly Timberman (Chrissi), Stilwell, Oklahoma, David Timberman, Larned, Erin (Caulan) Brooks, Jacksonville, North Carolina, Julie (Clint) Gavigan, Colorado Springs, Colorado, Chris Emrick, Colorado Springs, Colorado; a sister, Rhonda Lasha, Great Bend; ten beautiful grandchildren: Jared Chipman, Larned, Lane Timberman, Doc Timberman, both of Stilwell, Oklahoma, David Timberman Jr., Starlette Timberman, Wichita, Sundai Gavigan, Madison Gavigan, Hunter Emrick, Samantha Emrick and Erik Emrick all of Colorado Springs, Colorado and many aunts, uncles and cousins scattered throughout the United States.

Harry Hoyt Timberman

GREAT BEND -&nbsp;Theresa C. Sohm-Schmeidler, 89, passed away November 30, 2020, at Riverbend Assisted Living, Great Bend. She was born April 10, 1931, at Great Bend, to John &amp; Mildred (Konecny) Axman. She married Leon Sohm November 9, 1954, in Great Bend. He died December 12, 1983. She then married Alfred Schmeidler August 20, 1988, in Great Bend. He died September 6, 2014.&nbsp;

Coming from Olmitz in 1988, Theresa was a Great Bend resident. She was a homemaker who loved baking, farming, and working at Country Treasures. She was a member of Prince of Peace Parish at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Altar Society, and helped with the election board during voting season.&nbsp;

Survivors include, two daughters, Terri Schneider and husband Jay of Great Bend, and Laurie Koci and husband Don of Colwich; other survivors include, a stepson, Jim Schmeidler; and four stepdaughters, Judy Boor and husband Johnnie of Great Bend; Jan Lehning and husband Steve of Sublette, Jean Naccarato and husband Dan of Hutchinson, and Joan Day and husband Mike of Pratt; sixteen grandchildren, Tera, Derik, Sarah, Ryan, Jodie, Jamie, Jeff, Andrea, Matthew, Shalee, Luke, Kylee, Amanda, Shanda, Dallas, and Marcus; and twenty three great grandchildren. She was born April 10, 1931, at Great Bend, to John &amp; Mildred (Konecny) Axman. She married Leon Sohm November 9, 1954, in Great Bend. He died December 12, 1983. She then married Alfred Schmeidler August 20, 1988, in Great Bend. He died September 6, 2014.&nbsp;Coming from Olmitz in 1988, Theresa was a Great Bend resident. She was a homemaker who loved baking, farming, and working at Country Treasures. She was a member of Prince of Peace Parish at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Altar Society, and helped with the election board during voting season.&nbsp;Survivors include, two daughters, Terri Schneider and husband Jay of Great Bend, and Laurie Koci and husband Don of Colwich; other survivors include, a stepson, Jim Schmeidler; and four stepdaughters, Judy Boor and husband Johnnie of Great Bend; Jan Lehning and husband Steve of Sublette, Jean Naccarato and husband Dan of Hutchinson, and Joan Day and husband Mike of Pratt; sixteen grandchildren, Tera, Derik, Sarah, Ryan, Jodie, Jamie, Jeff, Andrea, Matthew, Shalee, Luke, Kylee, Amanda, Shanda, Dallas, and Marcus; and twenty three great grandchildren. He was born January 23, 1936 in Ness City, Kansas.&nbsp;&nbsp;The son of Harvey and Esther Eichman Delaney.&nbsp;&nbsp;A longtime area resident; he moved to Burdett in 1956, moving from Ness County; he was a John Deere Dealer for 50 years in Burdett, Kansas.

He was a past member of the Burdett school board and the Nekoma State Bank board; was a member of the Tired Iron club of Kinsley, a board member of the Santa Fe Trail Center, the Burdett card club, county fair supporter for Pawnee, Rush, Hodgeman counties, was an air plane and helicopter pilot, enjoyed fishing, being the limo driver, traveling and was an avid dime player.

On January 9, 1955 he married Barbara Ann Eichenberger in Scott City.&nbsp;&nbsp;She passed away January 29, 2019.

Survivors include; two sons, Jeff Delaney (Lynette), Larned and Jim (Kay) Delaney, Burdett; a daughter, Lori Ann Woods (Mike Conner), McCracken; a sister, JoAnn Rohr, Kansas City area; fourteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by; a brother Jack Delaney and a sister Faye Brown.

He was born October 2, 1932 in Larned, the son of Edwin K. and Kathryn Christiansen Roberson.

A lifetime area resident, he was a Masonry Contractor.

He was of the Christian faith and belonged to the Wendy’s Coffee Group.

On October 19, 1952, he married Marie Smith in Great Bend.&nbsp;&nbsp;She died March 10, 2016.

Survivors include: son, Rex (Sherry) Roberson, Ellinwood; three daughters, Linda (Roger) Anderson, Inman, Kathy Morgan, Larned, Mary (John) Roberson, Blythe, CA; two sisters, Lois Coleman, Yakima, WA, Connie Roberson-Gross, Garden City; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

GREAT BEND - Julia K. Cordre, 57, passed away November 30, 2020, at her home in Great Bend. She was born April 26, 1963, at Hutchinson, to Lewis &amp; Dennie (Short) DeWitt. She married&nbsp;Neil Cordre on November 10, 1984, at Great Bend. He survives.&nbsp;

A Great Bend resident, Julia was a homemaker. She enjoyed the New York Giants, Chicago Cubs and Wichita State University sporting events. Julia liked riding motorcycles and traveling. She enjoyed her friends and family, but especially loved spending time with her children.&nbsp;

Survivors include, her husband Neil Cordre of the home; two sons, Jeremy Cordre of Wichita, and Ryan Cordre of Great Bend; her mother, Dennie DeWitt of Great Bend; a brother, Darin DeWitt and significant other Christy Huslig of Great Bend; and a sister, Lindsey Ensley and husband Scott of Great Bend. She was preceded in death by her father, Lewis DeWitt; and a sister, Jane Skolout.&nbsp;

GREAT BEND -&nbsp;Evelyn Mahan, 86, fell asleep in death on November 28, 2020, at Diversicare of Hutchison. She was born on June 18, 1934, in Batesville, Miss. She was married twice. To the first union two sons were born, Lewis and Danny Joe Smith. She has five grandchildren, Steven, Travis, David, Jaclyn, and Kevin; and three great grandchildren, Nolani, Niko, and Kalen.&nbsp;

She was a med aide for many years. She dedicated her life to Jehovah on June 6, 1955. She loved playing card games and marbles. She enjoyed cooking for family and friends, crocheting, making homemade ice cream and fishing. Her greatest passion was participating in her Bible ministry work, serving as a regular pioneer for 48 years.&nbsp;
