The St. John-Hudson High School Lady Tigers concluded their 2024-2025 basketball season with a valiant effort in the KSHSAA Class 1A Division I State Basketball Championship. The team faced the undefeated Centralia High School Panthers in the quarterfinals Wednesday at the United Wireless Arena in Dodge City.
Entering the tournament as the seventh seed with an 18-5 record, the Lady Tigers were matched against the second-seeded Panthers, who boasted a perfect 23-0 season. Despite their determination and resilience, St. John-Hudson fell to Centralia with a final score of 50-27, bringing their season to a close.
Throughout the season, the Lady Tigers demonstrated exceptional skill and teamwork. Notable victories included a commanding 55-25 win over South Central High School on March 1, and a decisive 61-40 triumph against Macksville High School on February 21.
