The Barton County Commission voted Tuesday to approve an $8,500 Façade Improvement Grant for All Weather Roofing and Exterior LLC, located at 2100 10th St. in Great Bend.

The grant will support the company’s $15,601.73 project, which involves the installation of new siding, gutters, wraps, shutters, windows and painting for the building. It serves as the office for the Great Bend branch of the Russell-based company.

“We want to make it shine and pop that corner,” said All Weather’s Jennifer Flick, who presented the proposal along with Tyler Daily. “It’s a great location, being close to downtown, and improvements will also help the overall appearance of the area.”

“It’s a cool, cottage-style building,” Daily said. “It just needed some tender loving care.”
