On Friday, May 9, at approximately 8:20 p.m., an officer with the Great Bend Police Department initiated a traffic stop in the 2100 block of 24th Street after receiving a Flock (License Plate Reader Camera) notification alerting officers to a wanted person.
The driver was contacted and identified. It was confirmed that the driver, Michael Podrybau, age 42 of Alton, Kansas, was the wanted subject. Podrybau was placed under arrest for a warrant issued by the FBI for distribution of obscene visual representation of the sexual abuse of children and for sexual exploitation of a minor of child, sexual abuse material.
Podrybau was transported to the Barton County Jail where he awaits extradition.
