For a third consecutive week, Maxence Voinier of the 7th ranked Barton Community College men's soccer team has been tabbed as the KJCCC Division I Player of the Week.
Voinier guided the Cougars to a perfect week, picking up a 2-0 victory over Coffeyville Community College.
Despite having his five-game goal streak snapped, the sophomore forward extended his points streak to six straight contests providing the icing on the cake in the 2-0 victory over the Red Ravens creating Arthur Onofre's first collegiate net shaker with a through ball pass.
Voinier currently sits tied 10th in the nation with 14 points over six games while ranking 12th in goals at five and ninth in assists with four.
Now 5-1-0 on the season and 1-1-0 in KJCCC play, Barton will return to conference play Wednesday night traveling to Kansas City Kansas Community College for a 7:30 p.m. kickoff. The Cougars will conclude its brief two-match road trip September 18th at No. 3 Cowley College.
