The Great Bend Lady Panther Softball team held the early lead against Garden City Tuesday before the Buffalo bats woke up in a 12-2 six-inning, run-rule shortened victory that kept the Lady Panthers winless on the season.
Great Bend led 2-1 in the bottom of the fifth when Garden City went to work, scoring 11-runs over the next two innings to end the game early.
The Lady Panthers fall to 0-12 overall and 0-8 in the Western Athletic Conference. Garden City is now 9-2 and a perfect 7-0 in the WAC.
The two teams meet again Thursday in Great Bend for a double header at the Great Bend Sports Complex.
