The Hoisington Middle School KAY (Kansas Association for Youth) group is hosting a bingo fundraiser this month. Middle School KAY sponsor Presley Smith said the fundraiser will take place April 12 at 1p.m. at the Hoisington Middle School gym.
"This is the first year that we are doing the bingo fundraiser," said Smith. "In town, they do turkey bingo and Easter bingo. The kids liked the idea. We'll try it for the first time this year."
There will also be concession stand food items available for sale like drinks, popcorn and baked items. The funds are being raised to send students to the Summer Leadership Camp and cups to form a Cardinal logo on the fence at the Middle School.
"To get our gold award for KAY, we always send a student to KAY Leadership camp outside of Junction City," said Smith. "We already have one student signed up for it."
One bingo card can be purchased for $2 and three cards for $5, cash only.
