RICE COUNTY—One person was injured in an accident just after 8:30p.m. Friday in Rice County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2013 Subaru XV Crosstrek driven by Kryslyn S. Henderson, 23, Douglas, was northbound on Kansas 14 one mile south of Lyons.
The SUV rear-ended a 2020 Hyundai Tucson driven by Aherns, Mary-Katherine J. Aherns, 21, Wichita Falls, Texas, who slowed to turn into a private drive.
EMS transported Aherns to the Rice County District Hospital. Henderson was not injured. Both drivers were properly restrained, according to the KHP.
